New National Standard Implemented, Fitness Equipment Industry Enters Quality Upgrade

 

In September 2025, the new mandatory national standard General Safety Requirements for Outdoor Fitness Equipment (GB19272-2024) came into force. It adds requirements for elderly-friendly and child-friendly design, eco-friendly materials and load calculation, while strengthening structural safety and installation rules. It is estimated that 30% of small manufacturers will exit due to non-compliance, while leading enterprises accelerate technical upgrades. The Ningjin cluster took the lead, with 90% of enterprises completing process reforms, further securing a 70% share of the domestic commercial equipment market.
